After-Hours Claims Emergency
In the event of an after-hours claims emergency, contact the Claims Department at Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company directly at (330) 682-2986 and press 2 for claims. You can also submit a claim via email at claims@mennonitemutual.com.
Property Claims
Follow these simple steps when your property is damaged:
Be Safe
First and foremost, ensure that everyone is safe and out of harm’s way.
Be Secure
Take steps to prevent further loss by making temporary repairs and securing the area.
Document
Write down what happened and take clear photos of any damage. If needed, contact the authorities.
Inform
Reach out to your local agent right away. A Mennonite Mutual Claims Representative will follow-up within 48 hours.
Complete Repairs
Work with your Claims Representative to complete the process and restore your property.

Do NOT make guarantees or promises
Do NOT pay medical expenses out of your own pocket

What to do if someone is injured on your property:
Be Safe
Safety is the top priority! Call for medical help and administer first aid only if you are properly trained.
Be Secure
Collect the injured person’s name, address, and phone number for your records.
Document
Write down what happened while it’s fresh in your mind. Include witness contact details and photos if available.
Inform
Contact your local agent and let the injured party know that the claim will be reported as soon as possible.
What should you do if you get sued?
If you get sued, contact your local independent agent or our claims department immediately at (330) 682-2986, press 2 for claims.
What to Expect When Filing a Claim
Contact
You will be contacted within 48 hours of receipt of loss notice by our home office, at which time further directions will be provided.
Documentation
Please document and photograph your loss before any repairs or cleanup are made.
Inspection
A company or outside claims representative may inspect your loss depending on the nature and extent of the damages.
